About the Course
Our certificate Dermaplaning is a course that offers beauty therapist’s training in a new trending skin treatment. Dermaplaning consists of regulated shearing action of a surgical sterile scalpel blade at a 45 degree angle detaching skin cells that have keratinized at the epidermis and simultaneously removing vellus hair where it occurs.
This leaves the client with smoother, healthier, hair-free skin. The treatment removes surface dead/keratinised skin cells and removes unwanted facial hair. Dermaplaning leaves the skin with a nice healthy glow, skin feels incredibly soft and smooth.
This treatment is a non-traumatic method of skin rejuvenation. Allows topical treatments to be absorbed more readily into the deeper layers of the skin.
It is a form of exfoliation treatment of choice for extremely sensitive skin, redness or rosacea, or visible facial veins.
Students of this course must be over 18 years of age, and currently studying, or have previously gained a minimum level 3 beauty qualification.
The course takes place over 4 months - 2 days (10:30am-4pm) a week.
